Groups wishing to apply for a large grant of £101k-£300k have until 18 July to submit their expression of interest. Thinking of applying? Here’s all you need to know…
Is it for me?
If you’re an Armed Forces charity/CIC, or a charity/CIC with recent experience of delivering substantial projects for the Armed Forces community, then yes! You can also work with Armed Forces units and charities as a delivery partner on their application. We want to encourage as many groups as possible who are supporting Armed Forces families to think about how this funding could give your work a boost!
Is our work the type of thing you’ll fund?
If you’re supporting Armed Forces families, then this funding programme could support you. You may be working closely with families to overcome the effects of loneliness and separation, or maybe you’re particularly supporting Service children and young people. Perhaps you’re working with the families and carers of Veterans? If you’re working to overcome the challenges any of these groups can face, then we encourage you to begin your application!
Medium or large grant – what’s the difference?
Firstly, if you wish to apply for a large grant up to £300,000, your project should be clearly transformative. By this we mean offering something innovative and life changing for Armed Forces families. These projects are more likely to be national as opposed to delivering services locally. We may exceptionally consider projects with a value of up to £500,000.
For medium grants of £30,000-£100,000, you’ll need to show us that your project will help to tackle the issues Armed Forces families tell you they are facing.
But time is running out
Applications to our large grant programme follow a two-step process. You’ll need your initial submission in to us by 18 July in order to be considered.
Those applying for a medium grant have until 12 September to apply.
